Isla De Benidorm

Island of many legends

Situated about two nautical miles from the city of Benidorm, Isla de Benidorm is a small island with great scenic beauty. It is a treat in a pure ecological sense and is not disturbed by human misadventure. The island is seeped in legendary tales of love; one that has provided the mountain Puig Campana with its cleavage. Isla de Benidorm has a moving population. There are no permanent settlers as such except may be a few scattered here and there.

Fabulous display

If you look between the Levante and the Poniente beach, a town fortress would bring the glorious structure of Mal Pas Cove. The island of Benidorm sits beautifully in front of it. As mentioned, the island is a source of great folklore and many legends. Moreover, the adventure lovers simply love the idea of scuba diving in Mediterranean deeps and trenches. There is the Acebuche, Cambron and laughter of virgin, the Spiritual Blanc, buffer and Soda Fine are just as interesting and inspiring to look at. Overall, a person can find idyllic peace at these points.

Inspiring ecosystem

In fact the habitat developed on the island along with its ecosystem can be used as an illustration by researchers. Because of diverse fishes near the island, it has been economically important for Benidorm. Only the people of Benidorm can use the waters near the isle for fishing.

There are various boat excursions that can be undertaken from major points of Benidorm to Isla de Benidorm. Light and hydrodynamics measures are naturally present. The species present are not only exotic but highly varied. It has quite many predatory species who roam for preys. This makes the habitat a little dangerous but then a little caution is enough not to be caught in a trap. Species also like to hibernate on the island. Such sedentary species like moray eels are there in large quantities.

Glass bottom boats

Glass bottom boats are being used for excursions to the island. It gives terrific view of the marine life and at the same time provides with a lot of safety. Trips to Isla de Benidorm are a daily thing and boats ply frequently. Tourist offices offer rebates and also hold various information on such trips. Great view of Isla de Benidorm is available from the Poniente beach. It stretches in front of the eye amidst the beautifully shining Mediterranean waters. If you wish to plan the trip, remember to take drinking water along because that’s probably the only thing you need to be cautious about.

Mundomar: Marine Life and Ocean Fun
