Mundomar: Marine Life and Ocean Fun

As many people would claim, the younger generations of today may not have the opportunity to experience wildlife and nature, because of the many advancements in technology today. Kids are more likely to be interested in TV, movies, computers, and video games, which is why parents are recommended to plan out different activities for their children to enjoy, especially when on vacation. And what better way to appreciate the wonders of nature than to take a visit to one of Benidorm’s favorite theme parks for the family: Mundomar.

Located on the northern portion of Levante Beach, Mundomar is a haven for tourists who want to be awed by the beauty of ocean wildlife. Perhaps one of the most popular attractions in this marine theme park is the Dolphinarium, where audiences can watch a spectacular interactive dolphin show. These brilliant marine mammals can do tricks and are very friendly towards the visitors, who may get the chance to feed and pet them. Other than the dolphin show, you can also take your kids to watch the funny and amazing tricks performed by trained seal lions. Try not to sit too close to the stage, as you might get splashed on by these lovable animal performers.

If you think marine life is cool enough, then check out more as you go around Mundomar. Marine mammals are not the only attractions that you can learn from while visiting Mundomar. This park also features aquatic birds like pelicans, swans, ducks, penguins, and many more. You may also view the assortment of colorful tropical birds from different portions of the globe. Mundomar proudly features a bird show, where parrots perform tricks as guided by their animal trainers.

If you need a break from viewing all the marine animals, Mundomar gladly offers refreshments from its many concession stands, as well as cafes and restaurants within the park. You may also purchase your souvenirs from their gift shops. Kids can still have more fun while in Mundomar as the park also has playgrounds with slides for the young ones to enjoy.

Park tickets to Mundomar vary in price depending on the age of the visitors. They conveniently provide special discounts for toddlers, school groups, as well as senior citizens. Next to Mundomar is its sister park, Aqualandia, which is popularly known for its water slides and giant swimming pools. Most tour buses that travel along the northern area of Levante Beach are headed to Aqualandia which is why it is packed with tourists, and the parking lot for both parks is shared. It is recommended that you plan early when it comes to transportation.

Who would have thought that learning about nature and ocean life can be oodles of fun? So next time you plan out your holidays in Benidorm, be sure to include Mundomar in your itinerary. Give your kids an unforgettable learning experience paired with tons of entertainment. Nowhere else will you get to enjoy the beautiful beaches and marvel at the stunning marine life than in Mundomar in the idyllic destination of Benidorm.

Conveniently enough, Terra Mitica has divided its rides into categories, based on the strength or mildness of the ride. Terra natura: Animal Park with a difference

Benidorm’s theme parks

Benidorm in Alicante province of Spain has four major theme parks. These are the Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, Aqualandia and Mundomar. Each of them has a great tourist presence and caters to the holiday-crowd in an efficient manner. There is something about Terra Natura though that swings the balance in its favor. This animal theme park is avant garde in what it offers and hence lets a tourist feel overawed with its repertoire.

Multifaceted theme park

It has a natural mountain setting blessed by the aura of Puig Campana. Though there is a waterslide running through it for some 700 meters, tourist prefers understanding it as an animal park. The handicraftsmen make great souvenirs, the foods is a sumptuous ethnic spread full of Mediterranean spices and yet, trust us, this is an animal park above all and quite brilliant at that. 1500 different animals from some 200 species; this is what we probably count as an extra-terrestrial experience.

Pangaea

Just as you enter Terra Natura, you will find a volcano looming large on you. You will be witnessing a lava river flowing adjacent to you all through the green landscape. This place is called Pangaea. (The frosty continent of the devil)

America

Next is America. This again would be a lovable section; Native American dwellers looking to cut through the different landscapes. There are Mayan ruins, great jungles and a lot of panorama. All this will take you to a different world altogether.

Asia

Asia is full of camps. It binds the magic of orient with the various traditions. East has always been a hidden place. You will witness a lot of things being practiced in secret atmosphere. This is also the magic of east. To this magic is dedicated one complete corner. The third corner of the Terra Natura. It has logging camps, huts, caverns and a very silent ambience. Sometimes, the elephants make noise to throw some voice across the eerie silence of the place. You will find the snake charmers, the souvenir sellers and a lot of species of animals from the east.

Europe

Last on the way will be Europe. They are all too well known land with some of its unknown stuff. Look for the donkey ride, sea life and amazing features of wild life. There are many species of fishes in the man-made ecosystem. It is being pleasantly added with a lot of water slides.

So we see that each land has its own native features. Asia is full of Asia and America is full of America. Terra natura has tried to bring out the best of the place by igniting the native candle.

Children simply love it

As a child, it is a very educative trip. You can also get to be proximal to animals. There are guards who see to a danger-free trip. Move on a zip wire, slide down the chutes or take the train ride, the call of a natura is one clear call and it cannot be ignored.
