Terra natura: Animal Park with a difference

Benidorm’s theme parks

Benidorm in Alicante province of Spain has four major theme parks. These are the Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, Aqualandia and Mundomar. Each of them has a great tourist presence and caters to the holiday-crowd in an efficient manner. There is something about Terra Natura though that swings the balance in its favor. This animal theme park is avant garde in what it offers and hence lets a tourist feel overawed with its repertoire.

Multifaceted theme park

It has a natural mountain setting blessed by the aura of Puig Campana. Though there is a waterslide running through it for some 700 meters, tourist prefers understanding it as an animal park. The handicraftsmen make great souvenirs, the foods is a sumptuous ethnic spread full of Mediterranean spices and yet, trust us, this is an animal park above all and quite brilliant at that. 1500 different animals from some 200 species; this is what we probably count as an extra-terrestrial experience.

Pangaea

Just as you enter Terra Natura, you will find a volcano looming large on you. You will be witnessing a lava river flowing adjacent to you all through the green landscape. This place is called Pangaea. (The frosty continent of the devil)

America

Next is America. This again would be a lovable section; Native American dwellers looking to cut through the different landscapes. There are Mayan ruins, great jungles and a lot of panorama. All this will take you to a different world altogether.

Asia

Asia is full of camps. It binds the magic of orient with the various traditions. East has always been a hidden place. You will witness a lot of things being practiced in secret atmosphere. This is also the magic of east. To this magic is dedicated one complete corner. The third corner of the Terra Natura. It has logging camps, huts, caverns and a very silent ambience. Sometimes, the elephants make noise to throw some voice across the eerie silence of the place. You will find the snake charmers, the souvenir sellers and a lot of species of animals from the east.

Europe

Last on the way will be Europe. They are all too well known land with some of its unknown stuff. Look for the donkey ride, sea life and amazing features of wild life. There are many species of fishes in the man-made ecosystem. It is being pleasantly added with a lot of water slides.

So we see that each land has its own native features. Asia is full of Asia and America is full of America. Terra natura has tried to bring out the best of the place by igniting the native candle.

Children simply love it

As a child, it is a very educative trip. You can also get to be proximal to animals. There are guards who see to a danger-free trip. Move on a zip wire, slide down the chutes or take the train ride, the call of a natura is one clear call and it cannot be ignored.

Benidorm fiestas

Leisurely bent of the Benidorm folks

Spanish folks have a casual bent of mind. They love their leisure space and have certainly not lost the fine art of doing nothing or making merry. Add to that, the flavor of Benidorm. The place is full of idyllic energy. The Mediterranean sings a tune which makes the head spin. The Campana Mountain is a source of old world charm. This makes the people go doubly crazy. This is why; they keep arranging fiestas for themselves. They need one flimsy excuse and the fiestas begin. Let’s take a look at some of the more vibrant fiestas of Benidorm.

Patron Saint’s fiesta

The main Benidorm fiesta and the most renowned of the lot begin in the month of November. More accurately, it commences in the second week of November on a Friday and runs till the Wednesday of the third week. This one huge party ends with a display of pyrotechniques. The firework is one of those very brilliant sites. The celebration is attributed to the patron saints of Benidorm. They are widely regarded and the Spanish folks believe that some kind of a yearly homage brings in a lot of inward energy. Moreover, it is also their due to achieve a yearly reminder from the inhabitants.

Some fun for everyone

The 6 day fiesta offers something to each person. For those bent towards sports, there are many outdoor activities including fishing and football. For the culturally bent, there are many cultural programs. Those who are more inclined towards the spiritual will find comfort in the religious processions. Music floats in the air and you have all the possibility of joining the music gangs if you have the will and energy. The idea is to mix as many people in participation and a sporty attitude is hailed. Music comes through the arc of musicians, bands, live groups and others.

Virgin mother’s trip

Virgin Mary’s trip to the Saint Jaime is made memorable .the goddess is decked in blue and golden period costume which adds a lot to the grace of the infinite. The streets are adorned with a Diaspora of flowers and the street-walls are made just as brilliant. Whole-night music concerts fill the place with an infectious energy. The Aiguera Park is one such place where the auditorium is packed to the tee.

Cavalcade of three kings

Another one that has done handsomely is a fiesta celebrated every 5th of January. This is a cavalcade of the three kings. The three kings who have graced biblical episodes come on horse backs. The procession is duly followed by a retinue which distributes sweets to all the children on the street.

Halloween fiesta

On the Halloween day celebrated mostly in October, people can readily enjoy their meal at the Hogwarts and then catch on with the ghostly night at the Fun and Fright bar in old town.

And to round off

So if it’s the fiestas you are looking for, this town of the Alicante province is a smart choice. Of course, it also boasts of quality theme parks, nightclubs, blue flag certified beaches and a great natural setting.
